Reasonable Adjustments

Equality law recognises that bringing about equality for disabled people may mean changing the way in which  employment is structured and services for the removal of physical  barriers and/or providing extra support for disabled people. This is the duty to make reasonable adjustments.

The duty to make reasonable adjustments aims to make sure that, as far as is reasonable, a disabled  person has the same opportunities to succeed in employment as an non-disabled person and the same opportunities to access services.

Access Auditing + Statements

The purpose of an Access Audit is to establish how well a building performs in relation to access and ease of use by a wide range of potential users, including people with physical mobility and sensory impairments.

Building Plan Appraisals:

A disability Access Appraisal is a desktop study of the design details of a new project which identifies potential barriers to access for disabled users, elements of non-compliance with current Inclusive Design guidance or legislation and opportunities to promote best practice design standards.
